Registration of temporary employees in the event of interruptions (PDF)

What is the fact sheet “Registration of temporary employees in the event of interruptions” about?
The fact sheet contains four examples that show when registration is mandatory – depending on whether the interruption is less than, exactly or more than 52 weeks. 

  1. The employee works for 13 weeks and then has an interruption of exactly 52 weeks. In this case, the employee does not have to be registered again for 13 weeks after resumption of work.
  2. The employee works for 13 weeks and then has only 51 weeks of interruption (i.e. less than 52 weeks). In this case, registration is to be done directly from the first day of the new employment.
  3. The employee has several short assignments, but never an interruption of more than 52 weeks. The employee is registered after 13 weeks of continuous employment.
  4. The employee has an interruption of more than 52 weeks after the first assignment. The same applies here: The employee only has to be registered again after 13 weeks of new employment.
