Schwyz, 23 June 2026 – Tellco Bank Ltd announces that Uwe Krakau has been elected to the Board of Directors and appointed as its Vice-Chairman.

With this appointment, Tellco Bank is strengthening its strategic leadership expertise in the areas of banking, digitalisation and transformation. Uwe Krakau has more than 25 years of international leadership and transformation experience in the financial sector and is a recognised expert in the further development of business and operating models in banks.
Prior to joining Tellco Bank, Uwe Krakau was a member of the Executive Board of Raiffeisen Switzerland. As Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, developing operational processes and leading group-wide transformation programmes at Switzerland’s second-largest banking group.
Before that, Uwe Krakau held various international leadership positions at Avaloq for almost two decades, one of the world’s leading providers of core banking software and digital banking solutions. Among other roles, as a member of the Executive Board, he was responsible for the Business Process as a Service division as well as various market and growth initiatives in Europe and Asia. In this capacity, he supported numerous banks in digitalising their business models and modernising their operating platforms.

In his role as Vice-Chairman, Uwe Krakau will support the Board of Directors in the strategic development of the Bank and will contribute particular impetus in the areas of digitalisation, operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Uwe Krakau holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen and in Information Management from the University of Konstanz.
