On Saturday evening, the Zurich Convention Centre witnessed a special moment: the fifth swissalbs Award Gala Night brought together around 500 guests from business, politics, science, education, culture and sport. At the centre were personalities who take responsibility through their actions, foster community and serve as role models.

A special moment for Tellco
One of the evening’s highlights was experienced by Granit Kabashi, Head of Sales German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino at Tellco. He presented the Community Hero Award to professional footballer Xherdan Shaqiri from FC Basel.
The award not only honours Shaqiri’s sporting achievements, but above all his social commitment. Particularly impressive: Shaqiri announced that he would donate the prize money to an organisation in Kosovo that enables children and young people to access sport. A powerful gesture showing that responsibility extends far beyond sport.
An evening that connects
The swissalbs Award Gala 2025 offered a platform for exchange, dialogue and encounters. Representatives from the most diverse sectors came together to celebrate the diversity and strength of the Swiss-Albanian community.
The event impressively demonstrated how business, science, culture and sport enrich one another. Such occasions not only provide recognition for individual achievements, but also foster shared understanding of values such as responsibility, diversity and solidarity.
